If you’re anything like me, feeding a toddler can feel like a guessing game every single day 😅
Some days they eat everything… and other days? Nothing touches the plate.
So I’ve started sticking to simple, balanced meals that I know actually get eaten—no stress, no complicated recipes, just real-life food that works.
Here are some of our current go-to meals 🤍
🧇 1. Mini Pancakes with Nut Butter
Easy, filling, and always a win.
I usually serve:
- Mini pancakes
- Peanut or almond butter
- A sprinkle of cinnamon
👉 Soft, easy to hold, and super toddler friendly.
🍳 2. Scrambled Eggs with Herbs
This is one of my favorites because it’s:
- Quick
- High protein
- Super customizable
Sometimes I add a little:
- Cheese
- Herbs
- Finely chopped veggies
- Mayo / olive oil
🍌 3. Banana (Simple but Reliable)
Not exciting…but always eaten up 😂
I usually:
- Slice it up
- Serve on the side of something
👉 Easy win when when everything else is questionable.
🧇 4. Waffles + Nut Butter + Cinnamon Combo
This combo is SO good:
- Warm waffle
- Melted nut butter (I like to use peanut butter)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- A side of banana
👉 It feels like a treat but is still balanced.
🥣 5. “Balanced Plate” Combo
This is my go-to formula:
- Protein → eggs, yogurt, nut butter
- Carb → waffle, toast
- Fruit → banana, berries
👉 Keeps it simple but covers everything.
🛒What Makes Toddler Meals Easier for Me
These are a few of the things I use daily to keep meals simple and stress-free:
- Toddler suction plate ~ makes a huge difference for less mess
- Soft toddler utensils ~ easy for little hands to use
- Natural peanut butter ~ my go to for adding some protein and healthy fats
- Mini pancake maker ~ perfect for quick breakfasts.
🤍 What Actually Works for Us
I’ve learned:
- Simple is better
- Familiar foods = less stress
- Not every meal needs to be perfect
Some days they eat everything, some days they don’t—and that’s okay.
☁️ Real Life Mom Tip
If you find a meal they love… repeat it.
You don’t need to reinvent meals every day 🤍
